You are never on your own: email your training questions any time and I reply within 48 to 72 hours, ask the AI assistant in your client hub for instant answers, and join the runner community chats, a main chat plus Road and Trail, where I share weekly highlights. Want to talk one to one? You can book a 30-minute call for $65. Anything injury, pain or illness, tell me straight away and I come back inside 24 hours.

How is Custom different from Premium?

Custom is a personalised program built to your goal. Premium adds the full hands-on coaching relationship: weekly adjustments, direct access to Matty, and a progress call every four weeks.

How am I supported on a Custom plan?

More than you might think. Email your training questions any time and I reply within 48 to 72 hours, and your program is reviewed and adjusted every four weeks. You also get the AI assistant in your client hub for instant answers, and the runner community chats, a main chat plus Road and Trail, where I share weekly highlights. If you want to talk one to one, you can book a 30-minute call for $65. The only thing Custom does not include is daily messaging or a call between reviews, that is Premium and Executive. Anything injury, pain or illness, I respond within 24 hours.

Can I move up to Premium or Executive later?

Yes. Plenty of runners start on Custom and move up when they want more contact or a hands-on build. Tell me and we sort the switch at your next block.

What do I need to get started?

A GPS watch and a free TrainingPeaks account, plus somewhere to run. If you already use Strava or Garmin we work with that. I set everything up with you in onboarding.

How does billing and cancellation work?

Coaching is a rolling 4-week subscription, not tied to a single training block or race. It renews automatically every 4 weeks until you cancel. Around two weeks out from a goal race I will check in, and you can cancel anytime, just let me know before your next renewal and you will not be billed for the following cycle. You keep full coaching and support to the end of any cycle you have already paid for.

How much is it?

$200 per four weeks. Open by application, with the next intake in September 2026.

Who is it for?

Runners who want a properly built, personalised plan and are happy to execute it with lighter-touch support. All levels, road and trail.

ABOUT MATTY

Matty Abel has spent more than a decade at the intersection of elite performance and everyday running, coaching 1,000+ athletes to run smarter, race stronger, and go further than they thought possible.


A former Australian representative at the Sky Running World Championships, Matty brings firsthand experience across road, trail, and ultra-endurance events, including a personal marathon best of 2:48 and back-to-back sub-3 marathons in a single week in 2026: 2:53 at Paris and 2:56 at Boston. His deep understanding of the physical and mental demands of endurance sport lets him connect authentically with every athlete he coaches.

Matty combines science-backed training systems with a human-first approach that prioritises both performance and longevity. He is dedicated to helping athletes of all levels unlock their full potential.
